2026 Coaching Applications

Hitmen Lacrosse is looking for Coaches for the 2026 season.  

The application for Head Coach and Assistant Coach positions can be foundhere.

Applications received prior to December 31st will be prioritized for interviews. Interviews will be held in early January.   

Coaching Certification Clinics will be offered from February to May 2026, for those who are not certified or require a higher level. The SMLA will reimburse clinic fees in 2 payments. Half upon completion of the course and the balance at the end of the season.

Please note that Criminal Reference Checks are mandatory for all volunteers. If you have already submitted a check to SML within the past 3 years, you will need to sign a declaration. If you have not submitted one, please initiate the process as soon as possible by contacting Michele Boileau at staynerhitmenpresident@gmail.com for the necessary CRC letter for submission.  

Coaches are expected to help with TRY Lacrosse Nights in January and February, as well as Winter Clinics for their appropriate age group. They will be working with other coaches and our executive to create a positive experience for TRY Lacrosse promotion evenings and team development clinics.

Vulnerable Sector Checks

Have you completed your Vulnerable Sector Check? Below you will find information that you need to fill out a Vulnerable Sector Check Form as well as the additional information required to complete the application process.

To avoid missing out on the season, make sure to submit your Vulnerable Sector Checks early to ensure they are processed before the start of the season.

IMPORTANT! Once you have received your Vulnerable Sector Check results, please foward a copy via email to staynerhitmenpresident@gmail.com as this is required to complete your coaching/trainer registration.

The 2025 OLA Coaching clinic listing has been posted to the OLA Coaching Clinics  page.

  • clinics run from March 1st to May 11th
  • community development required for first year coaches and for U13 and below
  • competitive intro required for U15 and above coaches
  • plenty of opportunity to obtain your required certifications for the upcoming season

Paperweight Lacrosse Rules

In order to further the development of our young players, the OLA minor council has standardized how the paperweight program will be played across the province. The rules can be reviewed seen in theirPaperweight Lacrosse Playing Regulations release.
